A World Premiere !

On Tuesday , June 13th , the International Fashion World will be looking at Sunparks in Mol, Belgium when some of the most creative balloon artists around will compete for the first Millennium Jam Balloon Fashion Award . The boundaries of balloon entertainment will be challenged once more !
And the only limit will be your imagination !

Theme : Wedding through the Ages !

The Mission
Create -alone or with a team- a stunning Wedding Gown in balloons ! Each participant will have total artistic freedom in the choice of balloons , colours ,style and design.

The Rules
You can read the detailed rules on the website www.millenniumjam.com. However, it is important that the creation is made 'life size' as it has to be "catwalked" by a real model in a Fashion Show on Tuesday night. That's when the creations will be judged. If a participant doesn't have a model, then we will provide one. So no excuses ! Please note that these models will be available for fitting sessions no earlier than 16,30hrs.

The Jury with Magiel La RiviËre
The judging of the creations will be done by a professional jury under the presidency of the famous dutch fashion designer Magiel La RiviËre. The decision of the jury is final!

The Winner takes All !
There will be only one winner and he will win big!

• a real Limited Edition 'Blue Balloon Dog' made by the famous and infamous american sculptor Jeff Koons ; a phantastic work of art of which we will not reveil the value (you never know who's reading.... )
• 5000 260 and/or 160 modeling balloons freely chosen from the Qualatex and/or Sempertex range
• a Surprise Gift Basket
• a free registration for two people for TMJ 2007

And last but not least ..... the praise and respect of his peers : the winners name will be on everybodies lips for the years to come and will be written in gold in the annals of the best Balloon Festival this side of the pond !

Media coverage
A professional photographer will take pictures throughout the day of the different steps in the creative process and the final result on the catwalk. The whole event will also be covered by camera. Each participant will get for free a CDrom with High Resolution photos of his creation for easy use in his or her portfolio.

Free balloons
As for the other competitions at TMJ, balloons will be free for the Fashion Award creations as well. However, to make sure that all the colours are readily available, please confirm by mail or fax an estimate of the quantity, the size and the colors that you will be needing to create your wedding gown. This is of the utmost importance : a participant who 'forgets' this, will have no guarantees whatsoever that his 'wishlist' will be available ! The artistic direction of the Fashion Show will be in the hands of our multi-talented newly appointed Vice-President for
Fluffy and Funny Fashion Affairs Guido Verhoef, hilarious comedian & crowned balloon artist ,winner of the first Balloon Movie Oscar. This incredible artist has gathered around him an A-team of top notch show bizz people to give the Fashion Award the highest degree of professionalism in terms of sound ,lighting etc.. Stunning ! Awesome ! Be prepared to be dazzled ! The joint presentation of the evening by Guido, Tom Bibo and Rafael promises to be nothing less than a landmark in the history of balloon comedy .....
